ALL THINGS BRIGHT AND BEAUTIFUL () (paired Let Sleeping Vets Lie () and Vet in Harness (). ALL THINGS WISE AND WONDERFUL ) (paired Vets Might Fly () and Vet in a Spin (). The remainder of his novels appeared individually as James Herriot's Yorkshire (), The Lord God Made Them All (), Every Living Thing (), James Herriot's Cat Stories (), and James Herriot's Favourite Dog Stories (). His books were the basis of a long-running BBC television program beginning in and lasting into the late s. They were also adapted in two feature films. By the time of his death, he was a best-selling author in both Britain and the U. S. having sold million copies in 20 countries.
