Robin Preiss Glasser
American illustrator of children's books, and designer of theater sets and costumes. Glasser was a soloist with the Pennsylvania Ballet for eleven years before earning BFA degree from Parsons School of Design in New York. Her first illustrations for a children's book appeared in Judith Viorst's Alexander, Who's Not (Do You Hear Me? I Mean It!) Going to Move published in and later adopted for a musical produced by The Kennedy Center in 20. She has now collaborated on over a dozen children's books including the You Can't Take a Balloon series (written by her sister, Jacqueline Preiss Weitzman) the first of which won an American Library Association Notable Book Award. She also illustrated two of Lynne Cheney's books: America, A Patriotic Primer, which remained on the New York Times Besteller Lists for 5 months; and A is for Abigail: An Almanac of Amazing American Women another New York Times bestseller.
