American playwright, performance artist, and writer. As a playwright, Cooney's work has been produced at leading theatres both in the U.S. and abroad. He has also written screenplays and television scripts, and published several works of children�s literature. Interested in bringing art education to children, he has been extremely active as a community-based artist in educational outreach programs.
