of the Palm Beach Season for decades and played host to collectors,
and collections of the rich, famous and scandalous. The ecclectic
essence of that collection is now available online for viewing by

Bennett, Paula Pogany and Velma R. Clark, Illustrated by: Willy Pogany Drawings and Guache
The Art of Hungarian Cooking
Publisher: Doubleday Company New York NY, 1954. A true rarity for the bibliophile and/or art collector, an original guache signed on the half-title page of his sister's cook-book created the year before he died (1882-1955). The colorful dust-jacket was designed and rendered by Wily Pogany who also created the black and white line-drawing chapter illustrations. The entertaining book was compiled by Paula and home economist friend Velma; after exhaustive food and wine (grin) tastings with friends and family where the flavor of Hungary's ex-pats added spice to the gatherings. The front page bears inscriptions in blue ink signed by both Paula and her brother Willy, dated 1954. Photo supplied on demand.
